Shape Up Us Partners with Munchkin Programs for World’s Largest Pickleball Lesson in Northeast Valley
The world’s largest pickleball lesson is coming to the Northeast Valley, thanks to a partnership between Shape Up Us and Munchkin Programs. Mark Miller, the founder of Munchkin Programs, is bringing his expertise in teaching sports to kids to introduce pickleball to children ages 3-12 in Scottsdale and the surrounding areas.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2 at McDowell Mountain Ranch in Scottsdale, is free for all participants, but registration is required. This initiative aims to introduce kids to the increasingly popular sport of pickleball, which has been gaining traction among adults but has yet to reach younger age groups.
In addition to the pickleball lesson, Shape Up Us is hosting a Family Fun Community Event at the same location, featuring a variety of activities such as inflatables, rock climbing walls, hula hoop contests, face painting, and Ninja Warrior activities. The event is open to kids, adults, and seniors, and admission is free for all.
Shape Up Us, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health and wellness in children, families, and communities, has partnered with USA Pickleball and the McDowell Mountain Ranch Pickleball Association for this event. Registration for the pickleball lesson is open until Saturday, Oct. 19, so don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn a new sport and have fun with the whole family.
