Shape Up Us Partners with Munchkin Programs for World’s Largest Pickleball Lesson in Northeast Valley
Shape Up Us and Munchkin Programs are teaming up to bring the world’s largest pickleball lesson to the Northeast Valley, and it’s all for free! Mark Miller, the founder of Munchkin Programs, is on a mission to introduce kids ages 3-12 to the sport of pickleball, which has been gaining popularity among adults. The event is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at McDowell Mountain Ranch in Scottsdale.
Not only will kids have the opportunity to learn pickleball from the best, but there will also be a Family Fun Community Event happening simultaneously. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., attendees can enjoy a variety of activities such as inflatables, rock climbing walls, hula hoop contests, face painting, and even Ninja Warrior activities.
Shape Up Us, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health and wellness in children, families, and communities, has partnered with USA Pickleball and the McDowell Mountain Ranch Pickleball Association to make this event possible. Admission is free for all ages, so everyone is welcome to join in on the fun.
Registration for the pickleball lesson is open until Saturday, Oct. 19, so be sure to sign up soon to secure your spot. For more information or to register, visit shapeupus.org or contact Jyl Steinback at jyl@shapeupus.org. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to be a part of something big in the world of pickleball!
