MLP Round 1 Playoffs Preview: Dallas Showdown at Brookhaven CC
The Major League Pickleball (MLP) regular season has come to a close, and the playoff fields have been finalized. The New Jersey 5’s and the Chicago Fire were crowned regular season champs, setting the stage for an exciting playoff run.
The Premier Playoff Teams include the New Jersey 5’s, St. Louis Shock, Dallas Flash, DC Pickleball Team, Texas Ranchers, and New York Hustlers. On the other hand, the Challenger Playoff Teams consist of Chicago Slice, SoCal Hard Eights, Miami Pickleball Club, Atlanta Bouncers, Las Vegas Night Owls, and Frisco Pandas.
The top two regular season finishers have received a bye for the first round of the playoffs and will advance straight to the league semi-finals in Orlando. The #3 seeds in each bracket were given the opportunity to select their first-round opponents, adding an element of competitiveness to the matchups.
The first round of the MLP playoffs will take place in Dallas, with much at stake for the teams involved. The winners of the Challenger ties will earn auto-promotion into the Premier league, making these matches crucial for the players’ careers.
