Pickleball Courts Trending as Must-Have Home Feature in Denver
DENVER (KDVR) — Pickleball courts are quickly becoming one of the trendiest home features in Denver, according to a new report by online real estate platform Zillow.
The popularity of pickleball has been on the rise in Denver for a few years now, with neighborhoods installing courts around the metro area. According to Zillow, the number of home listings in Denver that mention pickleball courts has increased by 49% compared to 2023.
While pickleball courts are all the rage in Denver, they may not be as popular in other areas. Zillow’s full report listed the top five home trends likely to emerge nationwide in 2025, based on millions of for-sale listings on their website.
These trends include electric features, cozy vibes, an old-world comeback with granny-style decor, climate resiliency, and spa-inspired wet rooms. Homebuyers are increasingly seeking out sustainable and environmentally friendly features, as well as cozy and nostalgic design elements.
In terms of home values, the typical home value in Denver was $547,500 at the end of September 2024, down 1.2% since 2023. Despite the slight decrease, Denver home prices hit a peak of $584,567 in June 2022.
As the real estate market continues to evolve, it’s clear that pickleball courts and other trendy home features are shaping the way people view and purchase homes in Denver and beyond.
