A youth pickleball round robin event for players aged 10 to 16 will be held on Saturday, August 10, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at McGaw Pickleball Court #2 in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Organized by Erin Schettler, a volunteer with the McGaw Pickleball Advisory Committee (MPAC), the event will feature seven games played across two pools, followed by ranked finals. It aims to provide young players with more court time, experience, and community engagement, with all instruction provided by MPAC volunteers.
The McGaw Pickleball Advisory Committee, which maintains the courts and organizes local events, is also seeking volunteers to help grow the Fitchburg pickleball community. Participants are expected to arrive on time and arrange substitutes if they cannot attend, as missing sessions without notice may affect future registration eligibility. This event not only promotes youth sports but also strengthens community ties through shared enthusiasm for pickleball.
