Get Ready to Serve: Kids and Adults Can Join Pickleball Clinics in Warsaw!
Warsaw, IN – The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce a series of engaging pickleball clinics this June, catering to both kids and adults eager to learn the ins and outs of this fast-growing sport.
Kids Pickleball Clinics: Fun and Free!
Starting June 16, children aged 8 to 12 can participate in free pickleball clinics designed to introduce them to the game. Held at the K21 Courts at Bixler Park, these clinics will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16; Wednesday, June 18; and Friday, June 20.
Under the guidance of experienced instructor Dave Thieme, young participants will learn essential skills, including how to "dink" like a pro. While registration is free, it is crucial to pre-register, as no day-of signups will be accepted. Registration is open from May 19 until June 12, or until spots are filled. Kids can attend as many sessions as they wish, but each day’s activities will build on the previous ones, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
Parents can register their children online at the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department website: Register Here.
Adult Pickleball Clinics: Sharpen Your Skills!
For adults looking to enhance their pickleball game, the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department is also offering a variety of clinics throughout June. These sessions will be held at the same K21 Courts and include:
- Introduction to Pickleball: Wednesday, June 11, 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
- Instruct & Play: Thursday, June 12, 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
- Better Backhand Shots: Tuesday, June 24, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Drive or Drop: Thursday, June 26, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Each session costs $20 per person, and all necessary equipment will be provided. With a maximum of 10 players per session, participants can expect personalized attention from instructor Dave Thieme, making it an ideal environment for learning and improvement.
Registration for adult clinics is open from May 19 through June 9, or until filled. Interested adults can choose which sessions to attend, but it’s recommended to participate in multiple classes for the best results.
