Vinton Summer Festival: Community Picnic, Kiddie Parade, 5K Walk, Live Music, and Fireworks July 11-12

The event spans two days with a variety of family-friendly activities. On Friday, July 11, from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Courthouse Lawn, the community can enjoy a free picnic hosted by Farmers Savings Bank & Trust, a kiddie parade themed around the 1980s, face painting, carnival games, inflatables, and a farmers market. The evening also features a DJ, Tyler Sean Entertainment, and a 5K Walk/Run called “Party in Pink” benefiting mammogram access for women in need.

Saturday, July 12, at Riverside Park offers a full day of activities from 9:30 AM to 10 PM, including a petting zoo, cheerleading face painting, inflatables, bingo, dunk tank, balloon creations, and multiple sports tournaments like pickleball and soap hockey. The day culminates with a parade downtown at 5 PM, followed by live 80s tribute music from The Spazmatics and a fireworks extravaganza by Bar Y Pyros at dark, with a rain date on Sunday. Additional family-friendly contests and performances are scheduled throughout the day.
