Exciting Term 1 Activities at Kāhu Youth: After-School Clubs, Drop-In Sessions, and PULSE Fitness Programme!

Exciting Opportunities Await at Kāhu Youth in 2025!

Kāhu Youth is gearing up for an action-packed term full of fun, connection, and adventure for youth aged 11 and up. From after-school clubs to drop-in sessions and the return of the popular PULSE fitness program, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

After-school clubs at Kāhu Youth offer a variety of activities to engage and entertain. The Games Club, led by gaming expert Rayner, meets every Monday for board games, Dungeons & Dragons, and computer gaming. The Hustle club on Thursdays focuses on physical activity and play, with activities like beach days, paddle boarding, and frisbee golf lined up for the term.

Drop-in sessions at Paetara Aspiring Central and Lake Hāwea Community Centre provide a safe space for youth to hang out with friends and have fun. Transportation is available from PAC to the Hāwea Youth Centre every Tuesday for exciting activities like pickleball, water fights, and pottery painting.

And for Year 9-10 students (with special exceptions for Year 7, 8, and 11), PULSE is back! This fitness program, in collaboration with Fit Collective and supported by the Wānaka Police, aims to build resilience, strength, and teamwork. Sessions run twice a week from February 28 to April 11.
