Mumbai Pickle Power and Robin Hood Army Host Underprivileged Children for a Game of Cricket
Mumbai Pickle Power, the pickleball team co-owned by Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant and Swiggy, joined forces with the Robin Hood Army to spread joy and inspiration among underprivileged children in Mumbai. The initiative saw 25 kids from across the city coming together for a friendly game of gully cricket, showcasing the power of sports to unite and uplift communities.
Pickleball, a rapidly growing sport known for its accessibility and inclusivity, met the beloved game of cricket on the field as the Mumbai Pickle Power team, currently competing in the World Pickleball League, traded their paddles for bats. The blend of these two dynamic sports created a memorable experience for the young participants, highlighting the joy and camaraderie that sports can bring.
The Robin Hood Army, a volunteer-based organization dedicated to fighting hunger with a zero-funds approach, was thrilled to be a part of this initiative. With a network of over 260,000 volunteers across 13 countries, the RHA believes in the transformative power of sports to empower and bring people together.
