“Palm Springs Charity Pickleball Tournaments Set to Take Over the City’s Courts”

The city of Palm Springs is gearing up for a month of competitive giving as three charity pickleball tournaments are set to take place, offering residents and visitors the chance to play for good causes.

The Palm Springs Fire Foundation will kick off the series of tournaments with its event on Saturday at the Kimpton Rowan pickleball courts. The tournament aims to support injured firefighters and rescuers who responded to Hurricane Helene. Players can sign up individually or as a team, with games categorized by skill level. Entry fees range from $25 to $50.

Following that, the Palm Springs Hospitality Association will host its inaugural tournament on Nov. 16 at Demuth Park, featuring a celebrity match between Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills and Kim Jagd, a star player for the Coachella Valley Scorpions. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the association’s scholarship fund and the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs.

The month of competitive giving will conclude with the Palm Springs Police Department’s “Paddles for a Cause” tournament on Nov. 23 at the Kimpton Rowan Hotel. The event will raise funds for the department’s annual “Shop with a Cop” initiative, providing a positive holiday experience for deserving children.

With a variety of tournaments and causes to support, Palm Springs is set to become a pickleball paradise this month. Whether you’re a player or a fan, these events offer a great opportunity to give back to the community, enjoy some competitive pickleball, and cheer on local celebrities.
