Health Expo ’24: Bringing Together the Largest Gathering of Local Health-Related Agencies and Vendors
The Community Health Foundation (CHF) is gearing up to host one of the biggest health expos yet in 2024, bringing together a wide array of local health-related agencies and vendors in one location. According to Joy Rogers, the executive director of CHF, this annual event is a great opportunity for the community to come together with a shared goal of promoting health and wellness.
This year’s expo will feature even more activities outside the main hall, weather-permitting. Attendees can look forward to instruction on the popular sport of pickleball, with equipment provided by the National Trail Parks and Recreation District. Rogers emphasized that pickleball is a fun and easy sport for people of all ages to enjoy.
In addition to pickleball, outdoor activities will include a bicycle fit tutorial from Cyclotherapy and carseat safety checks. Inside the expo, live demonstrations of balance fitness, Zumba, yoga, and CPR will be available for attendees to participate in.
One of the highlights of the Health Expo is the opportunity for visitors to receive a wide range of health screenings, including blood pressure checks, body mass index measurements, skin evaluations, hearing tests, prostate exams, vision screenings, mobile mammograms, and baby and toddler development checks. Flu vaccines will also be available for those with health insurance.
Exhibitors at the expo will cover a variety of health-related topics, including children and families, seniors and caregivers, health services, healthy living, mental wellness, support services, and insurance. Attendees can gather information and advice on these important areas to help improve their overall well-being.
To add a fun and interactive element to the expo, the popular smoothie bike will make a return, allowing adults and kids to create their own tasty smoothie by pedaling a stationary bike that blends the ingredients right before their eyes.
