$50 Million Pickleball Development Planned for Springdale, Arkansas to Attract Thousands of Tourists

Springdale, Arkansas is set to become a hotspot for pickleball enthusiasts with a $50 million development project in the works. The project, known as The Big Dill Pickleball Club & Academy, is projected to attract 25,000 to 30,000 tourists to the state each year.

The 70,000-square-foot facility will feature an approximately 900-seat center court for tournaments and events, making it one of the nation’s premier pickleball facilities. In addition to the center court, there will be 23 indoor pickleball courts, including five show courts, and 30 outdoor pickleball courts. The facility will also include a bar, pro shop, restaurant, and other retail and commercial space.

The project is being led by Arkansas native Reggie Brasfield, who envisions the facility as a hub for pickleball enthusiasts from all over the country. The development is expected to open by the first quarter of 2026 and will be located on the north side of Emma Avenue, east of 40th Street.

In addition to the pickleball facility, the project includes plans for nearby multifamily housing to support the on-site training academy. The partnership group behind the project is working with local investors and experts to bring the development to life.

With state tax incentives and a focus on technology and amenities, the new pickleball facility aims to provide a top-notch experience for players and visitors alike. From live streaming capabilities to player performance tools, the facility will offer cutting-edge features to enhance the pickleball experience.

Overall, the project is set to not only boost tourism in the area but also provide a space for the community to come together and enjoy all that Springdale and Northwest Arkansas have to offer. With a focus on creating a vibrant and inclusive space, the pickleball development is poised to become a must-visit destination for pickleball enthusiasts and visitors alike.
