SLYP Pickleball Tournament: Play for a Cause!
The Student Leadership Youth Program (SLYP) is gearing up for an exciting Pickleball Tournament to raise funds for their initiatives. The tournament, set to take place on Saturday, March 29th at the Woodrow Wilson High School Gymnasium, promises a day of fun and friendly competition for players of all skill levels.
Registration for the tournament will begin at 9:00 AM, with games kicking off at 10:00 AM. The event is open to doubles teams only and will follow a double-elimination format. Players will be grouped into brackets based on skill level and division to ensure a fair and competitive experience for all participants.
Teams can register for a fee of $40 per team, with a sponsorship option available for $100. Sponsorship includes recognition on event t-shirts, signage at the tournament, and a social media shoutout. The deadline for registration to guarantee a t-shirt is March 17th, with final registration closing on March 24th.
For those unable to attend the tournament but still wishing to support SLYP, donations to the SLYP Fund are welcome. Contributions can be made by mail or online through the Beckley Area Foundation (BAF) website.
