Shine Relief Trust, a faith-based organization in Zomba District, has promoted physical exercise among youth by introducing Pickleball games to encourage healthy living and deter immoral behavior, alcohol consumption, and smoking. The initiative, introduced by Jin Kim from South Korea, aims to bring young people together, relieve stress—especially for those affected by Cyclone Freddy—and foster a positive environment where youth can also engage with the word of God.
Participants like Patience Tambulasi and Walunji Nyirongo have praised Pickleball for improving physical health, mental sharpness, and school engagement, while reducing negative behaviors. Beyond sports, Shine Relief Trust supports girls facing educational challenges by paying school fees and assisting orphans, early childhood development, and teenage mothers, helping youth stay focused on education and future financial independence.
