Robinsons Land Breaks Ground on Asia’s First Tournament-Grade Pickleball Center in Pasig

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) has broken ground on Asia’s first tournament-grade pickleball facility, the Helios Pickleball Center, located in its Bridgetowne Destination Estate in Pasig. Set for completion by 2027, the eight-story, 17,500-square-meter complex will feature 25 indoor professional-grade courts, a stadium court, sports clinic, gym, dining options, and ample parking. Developed in partnership with Kosmas Athletic Ventures Corp., Helios is designed to meet Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) standards, positioning the Philippines to host international tournaments and marking RLC’s entry into the growing sports and recreation sector through its new Robinsons Sports, Entertainment, and Recreation (SER) division.

Pickleball’s rapid global rise, with participation soaring from 8.9 million in 2022 to nearly 20 million in 2024 in the U.S. alone, underpins RLC’s strategic investment. The sport’s broad appeal and growing market, now valued at $1.5 billion, support ambitions for Olympic inclusion by 2032. Unlike exclusive clubs, Helios will be accessible to all players via a digital booking platform, promoting community engagement and active lifestyles. Named after the Greek sun god to symbolize energy and excellence, Helios aims to become a new icon for Bridgetowne, enhancing the estate’s appeal as a vibrant urban destination.
