Results of Partlow Insurance Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Tennis Tournament at Stonebrook Racquet Club
The Partlow Insurance Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Tennis Tournament took place over the weekend at the Stonebrook Racquet Club, showcasing some impressive talent and exciting matches. With a total of 118 participants, including family divisions for the first time, the competition was fierce and the atmosphere was electric.
In the Mixed Open Doubles category, Sean Regan and Kelley Regan from Clifton emerged victorious, defeating Gregg Georgett and Ellen Dsa from Lake Frederick with a score of 6-3, 6-0. The Father-Daughter division saw John Koch and Gabriella Koch from Winchester triumph over James Freilich and Katie Freilich from Winchester with a score of 8-1. In the Father-Son category, Cooper Smith from Alexandria and Byron Smith from Sarasota, Fla. secured the win against Danny Vo and Dominick Vo from Chantilly with a score of 8-6.
Other notable results include Lukas Sanidas from Frederick, Md. and Abdoul Miloud Agbere from Suitland, Md. winning the NTRP 5.0 Men’s 18 & over doubles, and Abdoul Miloud Agbere also claiming victory in the NTRP 5.0 Men’s 18 & over singles. In the NTRP Combo 8.0 Mixed 18 & over doubles, Donna Lee and Edward Lee from Winchester emerged as the champions.
Meanwhile, the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival WVU Medicine Pickleball Tournament also took place at the Winchester Country Club, with a range of skill levels and age groups competing in various doubles categories. From Men’s Doubles Skill to Women’s Doubles Skill to Mixed Doubles Skill, the tournament showcased the growing popularity of pickleball in the region.
