Winners of Bengal State Ranking PWR100 Pickleball Tournament at Kolkata’s Ballygunge Arena
The Bengal State Ranking PWR100 pickleball tournament concluded with a bang on Sunday, November 24, at the Ballygunge Arena in Kolkata. Organized by the Indian Pickleball Association, this tournament marked Bengal’s first-ever DUPR-certified Pickleball World Ranking event, attracting not only local players but also international participants.
The competition was fierce as top picklers from West Bengal battled it out in various categories to improve their Bengal State Rankings and earn valuable PWR points. With a prize pool of Rs 2 lakh up for grabs, the stakes were high for all the players.
In the Open men’s singles category, Vinay Sethia clinched the gold medal, followed by Aariv Raj Khanna with the silver and Arunava Majumder with the bronze. The duo of Vinay Sethia and Tejas Gulati emerged victorious in the Open men’s doubles, while other categories like 35+ men’s singles, U-18 boy’s singles, and 50+ men’s singles and doubles also saw some intense competition.
The tournament also featured mixed doubles and women’s categories, with players showcasing their skills and teamwork on the court. Agnimitra Bhattacharjee, Dipti Srivastava, and Aariv Raj Khanna were among the standout performers in the various categories.
