Rescue 7 Inc. Partners with Pickleball Canada to Enhance Safety and Training Across the Country

MARKHAM, Ontario, January 24, 2024– Rescue 7 Inc., a leading national health and safety training company specializing in first aid, CPR, and AED training, has announced a multiyear partnership with Pickleball Canada. This partnership aims to help pickleball players enhance safety and provide related training nationwide.

The collaboration will kick off on January 26 at Rescue 7’s 8th annual Winter Carnival at the Heights of Horseshoe Ski & Country Club in Barrie, Ontario. The event’s proceeds will benefit the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund and the Rescue 7 Forward Hearts Program, which donate defibrillators to charities and non-profit organizations across Canada.

John Collie, CEO of Rescue 7, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “The game of pickleball has taken Canada by storm, and it is incredible to see the sport gaining popularity. Sport and safety go hand in hand, and Rescue 7 is committed to keeping Canadians safe as they hit the court.”

According to Rescue 7’s research, cardiac arrest occurs approximately once every seven minutes, highlighting the importance of preparation, education, and training for a sport that is growing in popularity. Pickleball Canada has seen a significant increase in participation among various age groups, emphasizing the need for safety, CPR training, and knowledge about AEDs.

Val Vollmin, President of Pickleball Canada, welcomed Rescue 7 as a partner in the health and safety training category, emphasizing the importance of equipping affiliated clubs with the necessary tools to save lives.

In the coming days, Rescue 7 will introduce a preferred pricing program for AEDs for Pickleball Canada member clubs, along with CPR, AED, and first aid training to promote life-saving skills within the pickleball community.

Rescue 7 has been delivering CPR, AED, and first aid training for over 25 years to corporations across Canada. Pickleball Canada, the national governing body for pickleball in Canada, works to promote and develop the sport at all levels.
