A public-private partnership that recently completed over $50 million in water and wastewater infrastructure improvements for Westville, Indiana, is now donating a new community recreational facility. Construction is starting on two lighted pickleball courts at Prairie Meadow Park, expected to be finished by the end of August. The project is fully donated by the same team involved in the infrastructure upgrades, including Bowen Engineering, McMahon Associates, LGS Plumbing, and several labor unions and suppliers, reflecting their ongoing commitment to the town.
This initiative not only provides a valuable recreational space for residents and visitors but also serves as a hands-on training opportunity for cement mason apprentices. Westville Town Council President Michael Albert emphasized that the courts symbolize building community beyond infrastructure. A ribbon-cutting event will be held after completion, with more details available on the town’s website.
