3rd Annual Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pickleball Tournament: Supporting Pediatric Care and Community Engagement
The 3rd Annual Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pickleball Tournament is set to take place on May 18, 2025, at the Bounce Pickleball Club in Pikesville, Maryland. This exciting event aims to raise funds for the hospital’s Pediatric Trauma and Burn Programs, which provide critical care and resources for children and families across the state.
Last year, the tournament drew over 200 participants and raised more than $25,000. Organizers are expecting another strong turnout this year, with competitive matches, vendors, and community engagement planned for the event.
The tournament is open to players of all skill levels and includes co-ed events, allowing players of any gender to team up. Youth brackets will also be available for minors under 18. Matches will be played throughout the day in a social tournament format.
To participate, players must register through Pickleballbrackets.com and have a DUPR profile. Registration costs $50, with an additional $25 donation per event and a $5 management fee. All events will be played indoors, ensuring the tournament goes on rain or shine.
All proceeds from the tournament will directly support the Pediatric Trauma and Burn Programs at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Funds raised in previous years have provided essential resources such as car seats, smoke detectors, and bike helmets for families, as well as funding for training programs for medical staff.
Participants in the tournament will receive a souvenir t-shirt and access to vendors at the venue. Spectators are welcome to attend for free, and organizers encourage the community to come out and support this great cause.
The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pickleball Tournament is not just a competition—it’s an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need. By coming together to support this vital cause, players and supporters alike can help create a lasting impact on the community.
