APP Expands Commitment to Growing Pickleball Sport in 2025 with More Opportunities, Investment, and National TV Exposure

The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) is making waves in the world of pickleball with its ambitious plans for 2025. The organization has announced a significant expansion of its tournament calendar, featuring nearly 50 world-class competitions throughout the year. This marks the APP’s seventh year and coincides with the opening of its state-of-the-art headquarters at The Fort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Founder Ken Herrmann expressed his excitement for the upcoming year, stating, “The experiences the APP provides for pickleball players, across all ages and abilities, sets the standard in pickleball worldwide. We remain committed to delivering the best experience for all players and paving the way for America’s future pickleball stars.”

The APP Tour is set to double its competitions in 2025, offering more opportunities for both professional and amateur players. The calendar will include 14 nationally televised events with increased prize purses, as well as new competitions across the United States. Additionally, the APP Tour will expand its linear broadcast schedule to more than 55 hours, giving pickleball fans unprecedented access to the sport’s most competitive matches.

In addition to its tournament expansion, the APP is also focusing on player development initiatives, particularly among youth players. The organization will launch the APP Academy at The Fort in January, offering training and development for aspiring pickleball players aged 12-18. The APP Next Gen Series will also provide opportunities for young professionals to compete and receive mentorship from top APP Tour professionals.

The APP’s commitment to growing the sport internationally remains strong, with plans to support several international events in 2025. Fans can stay updated on the latest APP news by following the organization’s social media channels, and the complete 2025 event schedule will be announced in the coming weeks on the APP’s website.

Overall, the APP’s dedication to expanding the sport of pickleball, providing opportunities for players of all levels, and increasing national television exposure for its events is sure to elevate the sport to new heights in 2025.
