Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Inductees and Legacy Award Recipient

The Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame welcomed a star-studded class of inductees on Saturday evening in Red Deer. Six individuals and a championship team were honored for their contributions to the sport of hockey.

Among the inductees were four former NHL players, a groundbreaking female athlete, a renowned coach, and the 2001 Memorial Cup champions, the Red Deer Rebels.

Billy Dea, known for his ironman streak in the AHL, Jarome Iginla, a Calgary Flames legend, Dave King, a respected coach with international success, Kelly Kisio, a player turned successful front office executive, Craig MacTavish, a four-time Stanley Cup champion, Shannon Szabados, a trailblazer for female hockey players, and the 2000-01 Red Deer Rebels team were all honored during the AHHF Gala.

Each inductee shared their gratitude and memories of their time in the sport, reflecting on their careers and the impact hockey has had on their lives.

In addition to the inductees, Robert ‘Bob’ Rawlusyk was honored with the Robert Clark Legacy Award for his decades of coaching and dedication to the game of hockey.
