Peter Island Resort Reopens with Luxurious Upgrades: New Beachfront Rooms, Superyacht Marina, Pickleball Courts, and Spa

Peter Island Resort, the iconic private island retreat in the British Virgin Islands, is set to reopen on December 1, 2024, after undergoing a seven-year renovation. The resort’s transformation includes new beachfront rooms, a state-of-the-art superyacht marina, pickleball courts, and a luxurious spa.

The heart of the property has been relocated to Deadman’s Beach, where guests will find 52 newly designed rooms with stunning ocean views. The resort’s yacht club has been upgraded to accommodate multiple superyachts up to 200 feet, making it a premier destination for luxury yacht owners.

One of the standout features of the renovated resort is the 10,000-square-foot seaside spa, which offers a range of treatments using premium skincare products and local ingredients. The spa includes seven treatment rooms, a fitness center, a yoga and meditation sanctuary, and an outdoor pool with an oceanfront hot tub.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the newly reimagined Peter Island Resort, which retains the beauty and charm that has made it a beloved destination for decades,” says David Van Andel, president of Peter Island Resort.

In addition to the beachfront accommodations and spa, the resort now boasts a new Yacht Club with a dedicated swimming pool, pickleball courts, and a bar and grill called the Drunken Pelican. The property also features a boutique, commissary, and a 3,000-square-foot Conference Centre with stunning views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel.

Guests can enjoy dining at The Drake Steakhouse, a beachfront restaurant offering a surf and turf menu and an extensive wine selection. For a more casual dining experience, the Drunken Pelican serves up creative dishes and craft cocktails in a lively atmosphere.

Rates for the revamped resort start at US$1,000 per night, plus taxes and fees. With its new amenities and stunning beachfront location, Peter Island Resort is sure to become a top destination for luxury travelers seeking a relaxing and indulgent getaway in the British Virgin Islands.
