Atlantic City is set to welcome a new outdoor gym, Fusion Gyms Atlantic City, located on the Boardwalk between the Showboat Hotel and Ocean Casino Resort. Opening next week, the facility offers a variety of fitness amenities including exercise equipment, weights, basketball and pickleball courts, as well as dining and drinking options with ocean views. Memberships start at $99 per month, with discounts for first responders and students. The gym aims to complement the family-friendly attractions at the Showboat, such as the waterpark and arcade, enhancing Atlantic City’s appeal beyond its casino roots.
The gym occupies land that was once beach volleyball courts and was part of a larger plan by Showboat owner Bart Blatstein to diversify the property after shelving a casino expansion due to deed restrictions. This move aligns with Atlantic City’s broader resurgence, as several casinos have reported increased gaming revenues in early 2025. Fusion Gyms Atlantic City marks the fifth location for the Philadelphia-based company, reflecting ongoing efforts to broaden the city’s entertainment and leisure offerings.
