The Picklr, North America’s premier pickleball facility, has announced that Omaha, Nebraska, will be the lucky recipient of a new indoor pickleball facility as the winner of the “Picklr Your City” contest. After a fierce eight-week competition that saw over 20,000 votes cast for cities across the nation, Omaha emerged victorious, beating out tough competition from Anchorage, Lake Forest, and Quincy.
This new facility will mark Nebraska’s first dedicated indoor pickleball location, providing players with access to professional-level courts and a vibrant community year-round. Scott Francis, a local pickleball enthusiast who spearheaded the campaign, expressed his excitement for the arrival of The Picklr in Omaha, stating, “The local pickleball community here is filled with friendly and enthusiastic players, and we can’t wait to welcome The Picklr.”
With plans to open the Omaha facility within six months, The Picklr is set to offer a grand opening event featuring clinics, appearances by professional players, and special membership deals.
