Introducing Olney’s First Pickleball Equipment Lending Program at The DREY Pickleball Complex

Olney, IL Launches Tri-State’s First Pickleball Equipment Lending Program

Olney, Illinois is set to make pickleball history with the launch of the tri-state’s first Pickleball Equipment Lending Program at The DREY Pickleball Complex. In partnership with the Public Library, TrustBank, and the White Squirrel Pickleball Association, this innovative program aims to bring the community together through the growing sport of pickleball.

The free pickleball equipment kits, made possible by a generous grant from TrustBank, include limited edition One More Game™ paddles, balls, and a beginner’s instruction guide in convenient-to-carry totes. These kits will be available for lending at the Olney Public Library, with borrowers needing to be current cardholders in good standing. Kits can be loaned for one-week periods and may be renewed, with singles and doubles kits available while supplies last.

In addition to the individual kits, a full court set of equipment will be available through the White Squirrel Pickleball Association, allowing for up to 32 players to participate simultaneously at The DREY Pickleball Complex. Equipment reservations can be made by emailing info@whitesquirrelpickleball.org, with a donation encouraged but not required for equipment maintenance.

The Pickleball Equipment Lending Program was created in response to community members’ desire for enhanced intergenerational interactions and positive community development. Pickleball, known as a great equalizer, is bringing together individuals from different backgrounds and age groups to interact socially and physically in healthy ways.

TrustBank, with a legacy dating back to 1912, has been a key partner in making this program a reality. The Olney Public Library and the White Squirrel Pickleball Association are also instrumental in ensuring the success of the program and promoting the sport of pickleball in the region.

Whether you’re looking to connect with family, friends, sports teams, community organizations, church groups, or work colleagues, the Pickleball Equipment Lending Program at The DREY Pickleball Complex is here to help you find common ground and enjoy the benefits of this exciting sport.
