Mumbai Pickle Power Falls to Bengaluru Jawans in World Pickleball League Match
In a thrilling showdown at the Cricket Club of India (CCI)-Brabourne Stadium, the Mumbai Pickle Power faced off against the Bengaluru Jawans in their final league matches of the World Pickleball League (WPBL). The Bengaluru Jawans emerged victorious with a 4-1 result, solidifying their position at the top of the points table with 52 points, while Mumbai finished second with 50 points.
Despite the defeat, Mumbai Pickle Power showcased their resilience and determination throughout the matches. Star player Brandon Lane gave his all in the men’s singles match, despite not feeling well, but ultimately fell short against Jack Foster. The team fought hard in the women’s doubles and singles matches, with Glauka Carvajal Lane, Sabrina Dominguez, and Mihae Kwon putting up a valiant effort against their Bengaluru counterparts.
In a standout performance, Kim Eung Gwon and Mayur Patil stunned the audience with their flawless display in the men’s doubles game, securing a decisive victory against their opponents.
