New Pickleball Kingdom Facility Coming to Menomonee Falls
Menomonee Falls is about to become a hotspot for pickleball enthusiasts with the opening of a new business dedicated to the growing sport in America. Pickleball Kingdom, set to open in January, will offer 17 courts in its 60,000-square-foot facility, catering to players of all levels.
The owners of Pickleball Kingdom, including avid pickleball players Ray Durbin and Barry Hink, are excited to provide a space for the community to enjoy the fast-growing sport. With at least 14 percent of the population having played pickleball at least once last year, according to the Association of Pickleball Players, the demand for indoor courts is on the rise.
“We will be hosting high-level tournaments and intermediate-level tournaments,” said Gregory Straub, owner of Pickleball Kingdom. General manager Jen Azevedo added, “Our king’s court, our stadium court will be in the center.”
While many gyms and community centers offer indoor pickleball options, Pickleball Kingdom aims to provide a higher-level experience for players. Different subscription levels will be available for players to choose from, similar to joining a gym.
For now, players like Ray and Barry enjoy playing in the parks in Waukesha, but they are looking forward to the new facility in Menomonee Falls. “What goes better than this, perfect day, sun’s out,” said Barry, pointing to the court and the park.
With the opening of Pickleball Kingdom just around the corner, pickleball enthusiasts in the area can look forward to a new and exciting place to hone their skills and compete in tournaments.
