“Holiday Pickleball Festival at Grand Park Sports Campus Events Center Supports Local Organizations”

The Holiday Pickleball Festival at Grand Park Sports Campus Events Center in Westfield is in full swing, bringing together pickleball players of all levels for a multiday event supporting local organizations. Last year’s festival was a huge success, raising nearly $20,000 for charity, and this year, organizers have expanded the lineup of activities and added more organizations to benefit from the event.

Jennifer Dalton of Grand National Racquet Center, one of the organizers, shared, “We created this idea last year to create almost like a pop-up pickleball. Now, many more indoor facilities are available, but the community has enjoyed this in Hamilton County and outside.”

The festival, themed “12 Days of Thanks & Giving,” aims to give back to the community through various initiatives. Organizations such as Westfield Youth Assistance Program, WYSI, Damar Services Inc., Little Red Door Cancer Agency, and Westfield Heart & Soul Free Clinic will benefit from the proceeds raised during the festival.

Participants can look forward to a range of activities catering to different skill levels, including tournaments, clinics, and vendor booths. The event also offers court rentals for families and friends to enjoy a game together.

Molly Wright, executive director of Westfield Youth Sports, highlighted the importance of the festival in supporting their scholarship program, which has seen increased demand due to the growing number of children participating in sports in Westfield.

Scheduled tournaments throughout the festival include Wine, Women & Pickleball, Ivy Tech of Hamilton County Pickleball Palozza, Dink ‘Til You Drop, Winter Pickleball Team Smash, Westfield Youth Assistance Program, and Westfield Youth Sports. Each tournament is designed to provide a fun and competitive experience while raising funds for the designated organizations.

With a focus on community engagement and giving back, the Holiday Pickleball Festival at Grand Park Sports Campus Events Center is not only a celebration of the sport but also a platform for supporting local causes and organizations.
