Holiday Pickleball Festival at Grand Park Sports Campus Events Center Supports Local Organizations

The Holiday Pickleball Festival at Grand Park Sports Campus Events Center in Westfield is bringing pickleball players of all levels together for a multiday event supporting local organizations through the rapidly growing sport.

Last year, the festival raised almost $20,000 for local organizations, and this year, organizers have added even more to the list as the festival focuses on giving back to the community with the theme of the “12 Days of Thanks & Giving.”

Jennifer Dalton of Grand National Racquet Center in Westfield shared, “We created this idea last year to create almost like a pop-up pickleball. Now, many more indoor facilities are available, but the community has enjoyed this in Hamilton County and outside.”

The festival offers a lineup of activities for all skill levels, including tournaments, clinics for beginners and intermediates, vendor booths, and corporate outings. Dalton emphasized the multigenerational appeal of pickleball, encouraging everyone to sign up for a clinic to learn the basics.

Through Jan. 2, six different fundraiser tournaments are happening, each on a designated day. One of the organizations benefiting from the festival is Westfield Youth Sports, which serves about 5,000 kids participating in 11 sports. The executive director, Molly Wright, highlighted the importance of the scholarship program and the growth of pickleball as a potential addition to their offerings.

Scheduled tournaments include Wine, Women & Pickleball, Ivy Tech of Hamilton County Pickleball Palozza, Dink ‘Til You Drop, Winter Pickleball Team Smash, Westfield Youth Assistance Program, and Westfield Youth Sports.

The festival also offers court rental opportunities, clinics, a New Year’s Slam, and business partnerships for hosting tournaments or employee outings. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, improve your pickleball skills, and give back to the community.
