Life Time Launches Innovative Junior Pickleball Programming in Partnership with DUPR
Life Time, the nation’s premier healthy lifestyle brand, is making waves in the world of junior pickleball programming. Teaming up with DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating), Life Time is introducing new junior pickleball programming to help kids build athletic skills and develop a love for the sport.
In a time where 70% of kids stop playing sports by the age of 13, Life Time’s innovative junior curriculum focuses on learning through play rather than traditional drills and lessons. This play-focused approach aims to make the sport more enjoyable for kids, helping them gain pickleball skills, life lessons, and emotional development in a safe and supportive environment.
Designed by Life Time with support from DUPR, this pickleball curriculum is set to cultivate the next generation of players, starting as young as four years old. Ajay Pant, Life Time’s Vice President of Racquet Sports, expressed pride in launching this junior pickleball pathway, leveraging Life Time’s expertise in creating joy through sports.
The junior pickleball programming will kick off at Life Time’s Minnesota locations on October 2nd, with plans to expand to all athletic country clubs with pickleball by the end of the year. This program, based on fair, level-based play, offers kids the opportunity to dream big and potentially pursue a professional career in pickleball.
With a strategic alliance with DUPR, Life Time is committed to expanding its pickleball offerings, aiming to have 1,000 pickleball courts by the end of 2024. This initiative aligns with Life Time’s mission to empower people to live healthy, happy lives through its athletic country clubs and comprehensive wellness ecosystem.
