The Karnataka Pickleball Association (KPA), under the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), launched its inaugural PRO40 Pickleball Tournament on August 9 in Bengaluru. This PWR 100-sanctioned event aims to identify and nurture up to 40 promising players from various age groups across Karnataka, providing them with equipment, training, and comprehensive support to prepare for the upcoming IPA Nationals in November. The initiative is designed to elevate the state’s competitive standards and serve as a model for other regions in India.
IPA President Suryaveer Singh Bhullar praised the KPA’s forward-thinking approach, highlighting the PRO40 as a replicable concept nationwide. The KPA, as the official state body, is committed to promoting pickleball throughout Karnataka, while the IPA oversees the sport’s development and regulation across India. This tournament marks a significant step in strengthening the sport’s talent pipeline and competitive framework at both state and national levels.
