The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) team achieved significant success at the 2025 World Pickleball Championship held in South Korea, securing two gold and two silver medals. Standout player Kuldip Mahajan won gold in Men’s Doubles 19+ and Mixed Doubles 19+, while Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma and Vrushali Thakare earned silver medals in Men’s Singles 19+ and Women’s Doubles 19+, respectively. The tournament featured over 230 competitors from across Asia, highlighting the growing competitiveness of the sport in the region.

AIPA president Arvind Prabhoo praised the team’s achievements as milestones for India’s rising presence in international pickleball. Despite these successes, AIPA is currently engaged in a legal dispute with the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) over official recognition by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, challenging the IPA’s recent endorsement in the Delhi High Court. Meanwhile, AIPA continues to support and develop athletes to strengthen India’s position on the global pickleball stage.
