MOTORSPORT: India’s Kavin bags top-10 finish 2024 FIM JuniorGP World Championship
Indian rider Kavin Quintal has made a remarkable debut in the 2024 FIM JuniorGP World Championship by securing a top-10 finish in the Stk European class at the Circuito do Estoril in Portugal. Representing the Fifty Motorsport team, Kavin clocked an impressive time of 23:19.001s for the 11 laps, finishing just 34.866s behind the winner Adrian Rodriguez of Spain.
Despite facing early setbacks with a crash during the qualifying out-lap, Kavin showed resilience and started the race from the 30th position on the grid. The race was red-flagged due to deteriorating track conditions caused by rain, but Kavin had already moved up to 19th place by then. He navigated through the challenging conditions, overtaking his competitors one by one and crossed the finish line in an impressive ninth position among 36 riders.
The stock race serves as a stepping stone for Moto2 and the JuniorGP World Championship, providing young riders like Kavin with the opportunity to progress to MotoGP. Having started his racing career at the age of 13, Kavin has shown tremendous growth and talent, becoming the youngest rider to earn points in the FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Championship in 2018.
Kavin’s next race will be in Round 3 of the JuniorGP Stk at Barcelona from May 16-19, where he will look to build on his success and continue to make a mark on the international racing scene. Congratulations to Kavin Quintal on his outstanding performance and best of luck for his future races!
