Indian pickleball players showcased exceptional talent and determination at major international events in Malaysia and Vietnam. At the Grand Rally International Tournament 2025 in Malaysia, Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma won gold in Open Men’s Singles and bronze in Men’s Doubles, while Tejas Mahajan secured gold in Men’s Doubles and the Team Event, along with a silver in Men’s Singles. In the WPC Grand Slam Malaysia, Vishwakarma continued his success with another gold in Open Men’s Singles, and Kuldip Mahajan earned a bronze in the same category.
At the Asian Pickleball University Championship in Da Nang, Vietnam, Indian university players also excelled, with Vrushali Thakare and Anuja Maheshwari winning silver in Women’s Doubles, Thakare and Vanshik Kapadia taking gold in Mixed Doubles, and Anuja Maheshwari and Mayur Patil earning bronze in Mixed Doubles. These achievements underscore India’s rising prominence in global pickleball, with the All India Pickleball Association pledging continued support to nurture the sport and inspire future athletes.
