The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as the National Sports Federation for pickleball, has significantly accelerated the sport’s growth across India. Over the past three months, the IPA has organized more than 60 tournaments nationwide, spanning from Jammu and Kashmir to the Northeast and southern states, while establishing regional Centres of Excellence in key states like Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, West Bengal, Assam, and a National Centre in Gujarat. The association plans to expand these centers further, particularly targeting Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, to foster advanced training and grassroots participation.

In addition to competitive events, the IPA is launching certification programs for coaches and officials to ensure holistic development and create employment opportunities within the sport. Preparations are also underway for the first official National Pickleball Tournament, marking a historic milestone. Committed to integrating pickleball into major national sports initiatives such as CBSE, Khelo India, and Khel Mahakumbh, the IPA aims to build a sustainable framework that nurtures talent and promotes pickleball as a mainstream sport across India.
