The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) has announced that a 32-member Indian contingent of young athletes is set to compete in the Asian Junior Pickleball Championship in Vietnam from July 13 to 16. The team, representing various states across India, will participate in Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 categories, highlighting India’s growing prominence in international pickleball. AIPA held a grand flag-off ceremony to honor the athletes, who include notable players like Arav Surve, Arnav Khamkar, and Adiya Vinod.
AIPA leaders expressed pride in the junior players’ dedication and the organization’s efforts to nurture talent and popularize pickleball nationwide. The association has significantly contributed to the sport’s growth in India, notably through events like the 2024 World Pickleball Championship Series in Mumbai, where India won 28 medals. AIPA’s focus on youth development aims to secure India’s future success and elevate its status on the global pickleball stage.
