India has been officially invited to compete in the 2025 Pickleball World Cup, scheduled from October 27 to November 2 at the Fort Lauderdale Pickleball Club in Florida. The Indian Pickleball Association, supported by the Global Pickleball Federation and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will represent the country among over 50 national teams. The event will feature Open and Senior divisions, as well as inclusive competitions like the International Pickleball Tournament—World Cup Edition, which includes Para-Pickleball athletes.

Pickleball is rapidly growing in India, with courts increasing from 200 to over 1,200 and more than 50,000 active players as of early 2024. The Indian Pickleball Association is actively promoting the sport through national and international events, such as the World Pickleball League launching in Mumbai and a junior performance pathway aimed at Olympic recognition. India’s participation in the World Cup also includes involvement in the World Pickleball Promoters Forum, positioning the country as an emerging force in the global pickleball community and advancing efforts to elevate the sport’s profile both nationally and internationally.
