Indian Shooters Shine at Olympic Shotgun Championship in Doha, Qatar

Prithviraj Tondaiman and Manisha Keer showcased their shooting prowess at the Olympic Shotgun Championship in Doha, Qatar, with impressive performances that put them among the top Indian contenders in the competition.

Prithviraj Tondaiman shot a remarkable 94 out of 100, securing the 47th spot out of 140 shooters in the final championship round. His consistent improvement from the first day’s score of 46 to 48 on the second day, including a stellar third round of 25, highlighted his skill and determination.

Meanwhile, Manisha Keer and Neeru also displayed their talent in the women’s trap event, both shooting identical scores of 89 and securing the 38th and 41st positions respectively. Shreyasi Singh shot 84 and landed in the 58th spot among 79 shooters, showcasing India’s strong presence in the competition.

With India already securing one Olympic quota in each of the men’s and women’s trap and skeet events, the country’s shooters continue to strive for excellence in the sport. Despite facing tough competition, the Indian shooters are determined to make their mark on the international stage.

In other sports news, Yuki Bhambri and Albano Olivetti clinched the Munich ATP doubles title, adding to India’s success in the sporting arena. Their victory against tough opponents in the final match showcased their skill and teamwork, earning them the prestigious title and valuable ATP points.
