Branchton Park Expansion Brings New Recreational Opportunities to Hillsborough County

Branchton Park in Hillsborough County has officially expanded to 43 acres, providing a wealth of new recreational options for residents and visitors alike. The park, located at 15504 Morris Bridge Rd in Thonotosassa, is now more accessible to the 45,000 residents living within a 10-minute drive and is expected to attract visitors from a broader region.

The newly revamped park features state-of-the-art amenities designed to appeal to a wide range of interests. Highlights include a large, accessible playground for children of all abilities, a splash pad for cooling off, six picnic shelters for family gatherings, pickleball courts, walking trails, a dog park, and multiple public art installations.

The $10 million renovation project was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 23, showcasing the new features such as the playground, splash pad, picnic pavilions, improved lighting, and a freshly paved parking lot. The park is now open daily from sunrise to sunset, offering ample recreation opportunities with additional enhancements to be completed in the coming weeks.

Branchton Park’s expansion is a significant boost for the local community, providing new spaces for outdoor activity, relaxation, and socializing. This expansion joins MacDill 48 Park as another beautiful public space for the entire county to enjoy.
