Global Indoor Pickleball Spring Tournament Updates and Information
The Global Indoor Pickleball Spring Tournament is set to take place from April 4 to April 6, 2025, at the Global Fitness and Racquet Center in Kelowna, British Columbia. After experiencing some registration issues, Pickleball Tournaments has resolved payment problems, and online registration will reopen on March 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM PST.
Participants who registered without a partner must complete their team registration by March 6 to avoid being placed on the waitlist. The tournament will feature various events over the three days, including mixed doubles on Friday, April 4, and men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday, April 5. The final day, Sunday, April 6, will feature the mixed doubles age-any event.
This non-sanctioned tournament will utilize a round-robin play format, with games played to 15 points, win by 2. The top four teams in each event will advance to the playoffs. Participants are required to have a Pickleball Canada membership and a Pickleball Brackets profile, as results will contribute to their DUPR rating.
In response to high demand, adjustments have been made to the mixed doubles events. The Mixed Doubles 3.0 60+ event has been canceled, and a new Mixed Doubles 5.0 age-any event will be introduced on Sunday, April 6. Players who registered for Mixed Doubles 4.5 & above with a DUPR rating of 5.0 or above will automatically be moved to the new 5.0 event.
Registration for the tournament opened on February 24 for Global Fitness members and will open to the general public on March 3. The registration fee is CAD 40.00, with registration closing on March 21 at 7:00 PM PST. A $15.00 administrative fee will apply to refunds, which will only be granted until the deadline.
