Attention all middle and high school students! Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to spend your summer? Look no further than the Minnesota Urban Debate League’s Minnesota Debate & Advocacy Workshop (MDAW) Summer Speech & Debate Camp. With over 15 in-person camp options available for registration, there is something for everyone at this exciting program.
Whether you are a beginner looking to try speech or debate for the first time, or an experienced debater wanting to hone your skills, MDAW has a camp for you. High school students can choose from a variety of camps including Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Congressional Debate, Debate & Argumentation, and Speech Sampler. Middle school students can participate in camps such as Policy Debate, Speech Camp (Public Address), Speech Camp (Oral Interpretation), and Congressional Debate.
The camps offer a unique opportunity to learn valuable skills such as public speaking, critical thinking, research, argumentation, and more. Participants will have the chance to engage in friendly competition, make new friends, and build a sense of community.
The camps will take place from June 20 to July 8 at Augsburg University in Minneapolis. Both half-day and full-day options are available, with prices ranging from $375 to $1,525.
