Founded by Riverside resident and pickleball enthusiast Stacey Cleary, 4Joy is not just your average paddle company. Cleary’s mission goes beyond creating high-quality paddles; she aims to make a positive impact on the world.
The idea for 4Joy came to Cleary during a summer of playing pickleball with her husband Rich. As they honed their skills on the court, Cleary noticed a lack of stylish and fun paddle designs in the market. Inspired by the joy and inclusivity of the pickleball community, she set out to create a line of paddles that would not only perform well but also reflect the spirit of the sport.
However, Cleary’s journey took a challenging turn when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After a successful surgery and recovery, Cleary was determined to pursue her passion for pickleball and bring her vision for 4Joy to life. With a team of consultants and advisors, she meticulously researched and developed the Premio Series paddle, which features a unique handle and grip design for optimal performance.
But 4Joy is more than just a paddle company. Cleary’s personal experience with health challenges led her to commit a portion of the company’s proceeds to charitable organizations focused on health issues. From ovarian cancer to Alzheimer’s, Cleary selected four organizations close to her heart to support through the “We give 4Joy” initiative.
After months of hard work and dedication, 4Joy officially launched in January 2024, receiving rave reviews and positive feedback from players across the country. Cleary’s paddles are not only USAP certified for tournament use but also a symbol of joy, inclusivity, and giving back.
