New Pickleball Facility Set to Open in Former Big Lots Location in Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — Exciting news for pickleball enthusiasts in the Denver area as a new pickleball facility is set to open this fall at the former Big Lots location in the Central Park Shopping Center.

The 32,600-square-foot indoor pickleball facility, located between Denver’s Best Liquor and the Arc Thrift Stores on Iliff Avenue, will be operated by The Picklr Denver Iliff. This nationwide pickleball franchise plans to offer 11 courts at the Denver location, including standard-size courts, oversized courts, and championship courts, along with a pro shop, lounge, and a mezzanine overlooking the courts.

The Picklr Denver Iliff also announced that they will be offering junior and unlimited memberships for reserved courts, open play, competitions, leagues, tournaments, and more. The facility is currently gathering contact information to notify people when the presale for founding memberships goes live.

Kyle Yates, a Pickleball Hall of Famer, is the managing partner of the Denver location and plans to give private lessons and train instructors. JP Parker, who will run the Aurora location, is the on-site owner and operator.

While an official opening date has not been set, The Picklr Denver Iliff aims to open its doors this fall and eventually expand to over 10 locations around the Denver metro area.
