The Drury women’s basketball team is not only dominating on the court but also excelling in the classroom. Four players from the team were recently selected as Academic All-District performers by the College Sports Communicators for the 2024-25 season.

Senior guard Anna Hitt, a Biology major from Ozark, was named to the team for the second time. Hitt, a three-time all-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection, started all 30 games this season, averaging 8.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Caitlynn Daniels, a senior guard from Robins, Iowa, studying Finance and Communications, earned her spot on the team for the second consecutive season. Daniels, who was named an honorable mention all-American and first-team all-GLVC, averaged 14.2 points, 6.4 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.

Sophomore guard Rhi Gibbons, a Biology major from Nixa, made her debut on the Academic All-District team this season. Gibbons, a first-team all-GLVC selection, averaged 13.8 points and 3.6 assists per game.

Aiden Moxness, a Finance major from Lenexa, Kansas, also earned her first Academic All-District honor. Moxness shot an impressive 61% from the field this season while averaging four rebounds per game.

In addition to the women’s basketball team’s success, Drury guard Zach Howell was named to the Academic All-District team for his outstanding performance on and off the court. Howell, a Business major, averaged 13.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in his first season at Drury.

Meanwhile, Drury University’s pickleball program made a splash at the American Pickleball Players National Collegiate Championships, with Beth Matas Martin and Tammy Eliasova securing the bronze medal in women’s doubles, and Will Lieberman clinching the men’s singles title.

Drury University continues to showcase the talent and dedication of its student-athletes both on and off the court, setting a high standard for excellence in academics and athletics.
