The Picklr, an indoor pickleball facility, has officially opened its doors in Fair Lawn, marking its first location in Bergen County. The 32,000-square-foot club boasts 12 fully fenced “oversized” indoor courts with “outdoor-style court surfacing,” providing a unique playing experience for pickleball enthusiasts.
In addition to the state-of-the-art courts, the Fair Lawn location also features a store selling pickleball equipment and a private event space, making it a one-stop destination for players of all levels. The grand opening celebration on Saturday was a hit, with raffles, a food truck, and even meetings with a physical therapist for attendees to enjoy.
Co-owner Wai Yiu expressed the club’s mission to build a community where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to play the popular sport. With monthly and yearly membership options available, players can enjoy unlimited access to the facility and a range of benefits, including nationwide access to other Picklr locations.
The Picklr franchise, which originated in Utah four years ago, has quickly expanded to 37 locations nationwide, with plans to reach 88 by the end of 2025. Chief Strategy Officer Steven Russell highlighted the facility’s sound baffle system, designed to absorb noise from games and create a more enjoyable playing environment for all.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, The Picklr offers clinics and training sessions for everyone interested in learning more about pickleball.
