The trend of constructing new sports venues that can host a variety of sports and events is on the rise, with multi-million-dollar facilities being built around the world. In Burlington, North Carolina, the City Park complex at Fairchild Park is set to open in the spring of 2025. Featuring 17 pickleball courts, including a championship court, the facility will also host tournaments and bring economic impact to the area. Similarly, in Pecos, Texas, Cyclone Ballparks has added multiuse fields to host baseball, softball, flag football, soccer, and other youth and amateur tournaments.

In Liverpool, England, Everton Football Club is building a new $1 billion stadium, while in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Fifth Third Park will be the home to the Hub City Spartanburgers Minor League Baseball team.
