Exciting Lineup of Fall 2024 Programs Announced by Mahaska County YMCA
The Mahaska County YMCA in Oskaloosa, Iowa, is gearing up for an exciting Fall 2024 season with a diverse range of programs for families, youth, and adults. From Family Skate Nights to Parents Night Out, the YMCA is focused on providing fun, fitness, and fellowship opportunities for all ages.
Katy Greene, the Membership and Marketing Director at the Mahaska County YMCA, expressed her excitement about the new programs being offered this fall. “We’re thrilled to bring new activities to the community and utilize all spaces of the new building to ensure there’s something for everyone,” she said.
One of the highlights of the new offerings is Family Skate Nights, where families can enjoy quality time together in a safe and welcoming environment. Additionally, Parents Night Out will give parents a well-deserved break while their children participate in supervised activities at the YMCA.
In a bid to cater to a wider audience, the YMCA is introducing a Martial Arts program led by a staff member who is a black belt in Taekwondo. This unique offering aims to engage kids who may not be interested in traditional sports but still want to stay active and have fun.
Alongside these new programs, the YMCA will continue to host a variety of activities such as 5th Quarter Parties for teens, Swim Team and Group Swim Lessons, Flag Football, Big Dill Pickleball, Youth Volleyball, Cheer, Water Babies and Tots classes, and Before & After School Care. The YMCA also played a key role in a successful community-wide RVTV event in partnership with youth events.
“We’re excited to offer this extensive lineup of programs for our diverse community, and there’s more to come,” Greene added. With something happening almost every weekend, the YMCA encourages community members to stay tuned and watch their social media for upcoming opportunities.
