Lapiplasty Pickleball World Championship: Top Contenders John Johnson and Anna Leigh Waters of USA
The stage is set for the highly anticipated Lapiplasty Pickleball World Championship, where the best players from around the globe will battle it out for the ultimate prize at Texas’ Brookhaven Country Club from November 4 to November 10th. With over 3500 pickleball players participating, this tournament is set to be the biggest in history.
Among the top contenders are fan-favorites John Johnson and Anna Leigh Waters from the USA. Johnson, ranked 13th in the world, will be looking to defend his Men’s Singles title from last year. On the other hand, Waters, the no. 1 ranked player in the world, will be aiming to secure victory once again in the Women’s Singles category. Additionally, Waters will be teaming up with fellow countryman Ben Johns in the Mixed Doubles event, where they are currently ranked No. 1 in the world.
In the Women’s Doubles category, Waters will be partnering with Canadian player Catherine Parenteau, forming a formidable duo that is currently the best in the world. Meanwhile, in the Men’s Doubles, the USA duo of Collin Johns and Ben Johns will be looking to maintain their top ranking in the category.
