DayakDaily’s Book Donation Drive Supports Rural Schools in Sarawak
DayakDaily, in collaboration with Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak), has once again shown its commitment to supporting education and literacy in rural Sarawak by transporting over 1,000 children’s books to SK Lusong Laku during its D’Drift 2022 trip.
The book donation drive, part of the Borneo Pickleball International Tournament (BPIT) 2024, aims to collect 2,000 books for readers aged 12 and under. These books will be delivered to rural schools in Sarawak as part of BESarawak’s Books Build Legacy initiative.
In addition to the book donation drive, DayakDaily has also collaborated with local organisations to support the Kuching-based pickleball team ‘Croc Can Dinks’ in the upcoming BPIT 2024. This support includes sponsorships for the team’s participation in the tournament’s Team Event category.
The efforts of DayakDaily and its partners highlight the importance of community support and collaboration in promoting education and sports in Sarawak. With the upcoming BPIT 2024 set to attract 500 players and 2,000 spectators, the impact of these initiatives on the local community is sure to be significant.
